CD Review: "When in Texas"

With so many styles of today's Texas Music to choose from, you can't go wrong buying this release by Sonny Burgess, a true Texas artist from Cleburne. This Texas man made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry and has signed with Music City Records. He has a great combination of styles to please all country fans. From his western swings to his rockabilly swings, his songs demand attention from his audience. His voice is pure and from the heart, a heart with soul. That's what makes the difference here. The track "Tears in the Eyes of Texas" is a beautiful song and one of my favorites. A great sing along is "Smack Dab" with an uplifting beat that makes you want to dance! Each title on this album is a hit in my opinion.
Not bad for a guy who received a baseball scholarship and played professionally then switched careers. Keep that Texas spirit my friend.
